How to Get MORE Self Esteem

Today I received an email from a friend on a topic that I often discuss with clients; Self Esteem.

Self Esteem is something I have personally worked on a lot. I grew up having virtually none. So I have read, studied and trained in all sorts of methods to improve my own self esteem.

The one thing that has worked for me is having a daily consistent practice of doing something for myself. In the early days it was chanting for 5 to 10 minutes every morning. It doesn’t matter what it is that you do as long as it is for you.

I had a client once that had a real lack of self worth and esteem, she was always doing for others and getting her joy from theirs instead of experiencing it herself. It took a while for her to understand that this commitment was about her. She kept insisting that if she did something for a friend or for her children that would be the thing to lift her self esteem. Each idea she came up with was about pleasing someone else.

It soon became obvious that she didn’t feel that she was allowed to feel good or happy if anyone around her was unhappy. She felt responsible for the happiness of each person in her life.

I have one off clients and I have clients that work with me on a regular basis until they have achieved a desired outcome. She was a one off client. There are people that want and can take more and more of me and there are others that have to digest for 6 months to a year on what I’ve given them.

In the end she agreed on having a bath for 10 minutes every day, just locking herself in the bathroom on her own for 10 whole minutes. Doing that on a consistent basis would build on her relationship with her. She loved baths, by the way. The whole point of this is doing something that feels good.

With students and clients I have them do something of spiritual nature to build on their relationship with the Divine. I have them do a specific meditation (this would include chanting which is an active meditation), or listen or read to a specific author like Joe Vitale or the teachings of Abraham by Esther and Jerry Hicks for a minimum of 15 minutes a day.

Doing something every single day and sticking to it is reaffirming and restating that you really want the life you say you want. It builds the foundation of not only your self esteem but also your value and self worth. Each day that you do that thing you do for you another piece of your dream is fitted into place.

I have all my clients knowing and remembering their clear goal to focus on so they know WHY they are following through with their commitment each and every day. It’s not something that we work on for just self esteem. I have a client building a huge networking business and she wants to do it quickly, so she is using this process. It keeps her focused and it gives her the energy, courage and strength to do what she needs to do each and every day.

The key is to start with something manageable. For really super busy clients I have them download a meditation on to an MP3 player and go to bed 5 minutes early and set their alarm clock in the morning 5 minutes earlier so they can listen to a short meditation. Then we work on extending the time on both ends.

I could write a billion posts on the importance of connecting to the Divine energy. It gets you aligned with who you are and what you want! It’s where I get my unlimited amount of love, peace and happiness!

Create Your Perfect Day

Apologies for not being very present the last couple of days!

I’ve got my own project going on. I’m Creating my Perfect day! Soon I will share that with you.

Meditation, Getting it Right

Dear Gorgeous Co-Creators,

A lovely new friend from Facebook stopped by and asked me a question here and I’m going to share how I replied to her. It may well be useful to you.

Dear Susan,

I have a great meditation here on my website that you can sign up for; it is in the upper right hand corner in the picture with the pink flowers underneath the bear. I’m telling you this as people have said they couldn’t find where to sign up for it!

Affirmations are a brilliant way of lining up your energy and I still do them every day. I find one or a couple that resonate with me and I do them out loud and in the mirror.

The tingling sensation is exactly what I feel when letting Source Energy flow into me, it’s what I tell my students they may experience when they get more connected to the flow and are letting the energy in. It is an awesome thing! Many of my students would love to have such a great sensation with such ease!!!! It is a very good thing!

A lot of people experience that tingling sensation when they connect to Source, but you don’t have to have it to KNOW that you are connected. The way I tell people to make sure that they really are connected, at least when connecting to get answers, is if they just KNOW it is true and in that moment would they stake their life on it. IF they don’t it’s not connecting as deeply and purely as they can.

Yes I understand the fear of what it out there. The more I trained with the Natives, the more I learned about internal peace and my fear just kept moving further and further away from me. All you need to know is that what you focus on is what you are going to experience. Ask yourself if you are focusing on creating a boogeyman. Is that the experience you want???? Do you want to feel an internal peace, connectedness to Source and who you really are?

I believe you want to feel good.

You know I used to let my fear stop me, I still let it stop me in some areas. At the moment I am stopping money coming in. Why am I doing that? I am doing that because I don’t feel good enough about myself to completely let it in. I am used to the the contrast that has allowed me to spend most of my life feeling bad.

I’m here to experience feeling good.

Surely feeling good is what you are wanting????

What’s Your Story?

Dear Delightful Co-Creators,

Today I am experiencing resistance. It happens. I’m human and I’ve got my own experiences to play with.

We all have something that happens in our lives that just doesn’t feel good. One great way of changing the story of how things are is to write or tell the story of how you want things to be.

I want to tell you my story, but I know what I really need to do is write my story how I want it to be……….

So, I ask you as a co-creator to read my story as I want it to be:

I had contrast, I learned to get into alignment with lots of good things. These good things including learning how to find better feeling thoughts and feeling good. My relationships improved. I was able to LOVE LIFE! There was still some resistance with the flow of money. I used the processes I knew and focused on feeling better. Before I knew it I was having money flowing in from clients and in unusual ways as well. I realize now that my resistance and fear that I had before was lifted and that I might have to continue to tweak my vibration on this a bit more but for now I have all the money I need.

What is your story? I want to know your story of how you want things to be as if they really happened! Be detailed as much as possible, but only on the really great stuff! The more detailed you are the more powerful your story is! Be ever so brief with the contrast.
